Business opportunities in Morocco showcased at intercontinental forum in Las Palmas

Speaking at the forum, Omar Al Jabri, an official of the Agency for the promotion and the economic and social development of the southern provinces, and Kamal Lahlou, a representative of a research firm, presented a study on the development of a plan of cooperation between Guelmim-Es Smara and the Canary Islands.

This study gives an overview on the Guelmim Es-Smara, its economic potential, and the prospects of cooperation between the two parties, including tourism, handicrafts, mining, renewable energy (wind and solar), and film industry. In this respect, the two speakers focused on economic complementarity between the two regions, including trade between the two territories that would, in case of logistics availability, reduce import and export costs to African markets.
