Boulif: Islamic finance is the solution to the economic crisis in Morocco

"The introduction of participatory Islamic finance,  will provide efficient solutions to many economic issues in Morocco"

Thus said the PJD  minister Mohamed Najib Boulif in a statement to the press on the sidelines of an international conference on the 'assessment of the experience of Islamic banks and prospects', organised by the Moroccan Association for  Study and Research in Islamic Economics, in partnership with the 'Faisal Islamic Bank'.

Boulif  pointed out that in the wake of the global economic outlook and the crisis  tends to amplify,  the "Islamic finance participatory approach proved to be an efficient solution to many economic issues."

He said that "this segment of finance and its huge monetary fund would be a real driver of economic development in Morocco."

The minister, on the other hand, noted that the Government of Abdelilah Benkirane is working on a draft law on Islamic finance, which will be approved within the coalition government shortly before being submitted to Parliament in of the spring session, its entry into force is planned for early next year.
