Bombardier and SICOR-Tunisia sign partnership accord

Bombardier Transport group, world leader of the railways technology sector, and SICOR-Tunisia company, Tunisian branch of French Sirail group (specialised in cable for industry, notably for railways sector) signed, on Wednesday in Tunis, a partnership agreement providing for conception and production of cables for trains in Tunisia.

 SICOR will create 100 new jobs and expand its site near Tunis M'Ghira.
 
The global leader in rail technology, Bombardier Transportation continues its successful relationship with SICOR Tunisian society. Specialist wire cabling industry, SICOR designs and produces wiring harnesses power monitoring and control of regional and suburban trains in Europe.

The continuation of this relationship will create about 100 new jobs within the company SICOR. It also includes investments to build and equip a new building of approximately 2,000 m2 to increase the production capacity of its site M'ghira.

Since 2006, SICOR showed great professionalism and expertise with the performance of its workforce Tunisia. The success of our relationship is a start and we plan to expand our supplier base in Tunisia. "SICOR, Tunisian subsidiary of the French group Sirail is a specialist wire cabling industry, particularly in the railway sector. It designs and manufactures wiring boards, testers and produces wiring harnesses. Projects for Bombardier SICOR is involved upstream. The team of technicians ensures SICOR document processing computer production, performs the necessary IT tools such as quality monitoring, development of shared tools.

SICOR employs 220 people, a quarter of them areengineers / technicians.
