Benkirane gives a positive assessment of his action

"I am head of government for over a year, maybe I was not prepared as an athlete in a championship but so far I feel like I'm doing fine," ruled Abdelilah Benkirane during an interview with RFI, TV5 and Le Monde.

Asked about his relations with His Majesty the King, he again denied any "cohabitation" in the context of the distribution of power in the executive.

"I did not know him personally before being appointed. Since the time I discovered a great person, who is nice, who loves his country, loves his people," he affirmed.

"Well, it is not always obvious, I do not hide it. Generally, it is going very well. But sometimes I do not agree (...) and when I am not Okay, this is the order that goes first, it's like this, "said Benkirane, while refusing to provide examples.

"He is our King, he is the symbol of our country and it's more in my nature." "If the Moroccans want a government leader who returns in dispute with the King, they want someonelse, I do not work like that. If ever it does not work with His Majesty, I am going to act the same, "he said.
