Belgian justice minister hails legal cooperation with Morocco

Brussels - Belgian justice minister Koen Geens lauded on Tuesday the reinforcement of legal and administrative cooperation between Morocco and his country.

Closing the session of the Moroccan-Belgian penal and civil joint committees and the technical cooperation working group (Nov. 16-17), Geens reaffirmed the position of his department to continue its efforts in order to foster the Moroccan-Belgian cooperation in the legal field.

During the event, chaired by Moroccan secretary general of the justice ministry Lahkim Bennani and chairman of the steering committee at the Belgian justice ministry Jean-Paul Janssens, the two parties elaborated an action plan for administrative cooperation between their departments.

Concrete joint resolutions were taken by the two delegations as part of the joint advisory penal committee to improve the processing of extradition cases for instance.
