Autopsies on corpse of late Hassana Al Ouali showed he died of natural causes, public prosecutor's office

Rabat - The two autopsies performed on the corpse of late Hassana Al Ouali, who passed away on Sept. 28 at the Dakhla military hospital, showed that he died of natural causes, said the public prosecutor at the Laayoune appeal court.

In a statement on Friday, the public prosecutor said that, according to the autopsies' results, the passing of Hassana Al Ouali was caused by an illness and an untreated diabetes and not violence.

These autopsies, ordered by the public prosecutor's office, were performed by three physicians from Dakhla's medical services and two physicians specialized in forensic medicine at the Casablanca university hospital, it added.

The statement recalled that, following the demise of Hassana Al Ouali who was serving a three-year sentence at the Dakhla local prison, the public prosecutor's office ordered opening an investigation, to determine the causes and circumstances of his death, which showed that the convict was transferred on Sept. 24 to the Dakhla Hassan II hospital for a stomach ache. The inmate was guarded inside the facility where he received the necessary health care, but due to the worsening of his health condition he was rushed on Sept. 26 to the military hospital where he died on Sept.
