Around 2.5 Million Moroccans Living Abroad Return Home for Summer Holidays

Rabat - Some 2,474,348 Moroccans living abroad returned to Morocco during the 2015 Marhaba operation, that is an increase of 4.56 compared to the same period last year, the ministry for Moroccans Living Abroad and Migration Affairs said Friday.

Some 362,212 vehicles entered Morocco during this operation, that is a 6.74 pc increase compared to the same period in 2014, the ministry pointed out in a statement.

During the same period, 1,021,053 people crossed the various ports of the Kingdom, an increase of 10.56 pc compared to the same period of 2014, the same source said, noting that 420,144 people crossed land crossing points, an increase of 4.7 pc.
