Rabat - The celebration of the 15th anniversary of HM King Mohammed VI's accession to the throne of his glorious ancestors is a unique opportunity to highlight the different projects and initiatives launched by the Sovereign for the benefit of his people.
Anti-poverty initiative INDH, unique experience with exceptional results
One of the said large-scale projects is the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH), launched on May 18, 2005 by the Sovereign, which has broadened access to basic social services, promoted stable income-generating jobs, improved the living-conditions of the underprivileged and special needs people and spurred the social fabric.

Considered both nationally and internationally as a unique experience, this initiative, whose implementation and progress is overseen by the Sovereign personally, reinforces the Moroccan community-based project, a model based on the principles of solidarity, political democracy, economic efficiency, social cohesion and employment.

The INDH targets primarily the poor or people with special needs in order to enable them to overcome precariousness, preserve their dignity and avoid their isolation and destitution.

The National Initiative for Human Development has contributed, nationwide, to upgrading reception centers and setting up new centers meant to assist the disadvantaged such as abandoned children, homeless people, orphans and people with HIV/AIDS.
