Amara: Moroccan exports maintained their upward trend in 2012
Until November 2012, exports of goods and services have confirmed the upward trend to reach respectively 5.5% and 4.8% compared to the same month of the previous year, the minister said in response to a question from the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) to the House of Councillors on "support for exporting sectors face the decline in external demand."

He cited the aerospace (12%) and automotive (20%), however,an under-performance in the textile sector resulted in a slight decrease of 0.5%, which remains as an indicator for him "generally positive" given the fierce competition in the global market.

Export figures are "favourable compared to neighbouring countries," said the minister, who focused on the goals set by the government in promoting exports of high value-added sectors, support traditional sectors and market diversification.
