Algiers - 4th International Cultural Festival of Symphonic Music (ICFSM)

- The fourth international festival of symphonic music will be held from December 6 to 12 current National Theatre Mahieddine Bachtarzi (Algiers) with the participation of 23 countries. Each evening will be hosted by four countries on average, the Commissioner of the festival, Abdelkader Bouazzara said on Monday.

The opening night next Thursday, will be hosted by the National Symphony Orchestra and the Beijing Opera (under the direction of Yu Feng) who participated for the first time at this festival.
 
The festival will be held this year as part of the fiftieth anniversary of the independence of Algeria knowing that China was chosen as the guest of honor this year.
 
The opening night will offer audiences love symphonic masterpieces of universal music. Both orchestras will perform pieces by Beethoven, Verdi and Puccini.
 
The work of international composers will be presented to the public discovered, on this occasion, also musicians from different nationalities including those from Finland and Egypt participating for the first time at this event alongside South Africa, Japan , Spain, Turkey, Switzerland and Tunisia.
 
The closing ceremony will be hosted by an orchestra led by maestro multinational Japanese Yazaki Hikotaro and an opportunity to meet Algerian artistic personalities.
 
The program also includes lectures will be given, from Saturday, by musicians from Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Ukraine and Russia.
 
The conferences will include modes of universal music, history of music and Diwan Ahalils in vogue in the region Gourara (southwestern Algeria).
 
Master classes are also provided for pupils of the national music, the headquarters of the National Institute of Music (INSM).
 
The third edition of the festival held under the theme of "continuity" was attended by some 20 countries.
