Madrid - The "vulgar" campaign led by the Algerian regime against Morocco, its institutions and its interests reflects the depth of the crisis of this military regime, says Lebanese journalist Khairallah Khairallah. "The Algerian regime's vulgar campaign against Morocco, its King and its people is the reflection of the depth of the crisis experienced by this regime ", Khairallah points out in an Op-Ed published by Spanish magazine "Atalayar".

"From time to time, a little courage is needed. Courage means that Algeria has no problem with Morocco. There is an Algerian aggression against Morocco through the artificial conflict over the Sahara ", Khairallah underlines. According to the Lebanese journalist, Morocco has won the diplomatic battle that Algeria has been waging since 1975, recalling that the Kingdom has obtained the U.S. recognition of the Moroccanness of the Sahara.

"The Algerian regime should show a minimum of common sense and flexibility in its relations with Morocco, which has been able to achieve great progress in the field of development as well as in the strengthening of its territorial integrity", says Khairallah, adding that the actions carried out by HM King Mohammed VI over the past 21 years have aimed to improve the situation of Moroccans and consolidate their attachment to their country. "What perhaps most frightens the Algerian regime is the reopening of borders with Morocco, closed since 1994, despite all the calls for cooperation and understanding launched by HM King Mohammed VI. The reason is clear. The regime fears that Algerian citizens may witness what has been achieved in Morocco, despite its limited natural resources," said the author of the article.

"The battle of Algeria is inside Algeria, not with Morocco, which was the first to help Algeria", according to the Lebanese journalist, who underlines that "the Algerian internal crisis, which has makes the regime lose its temper, can be summed up by the impossibility of thinking with a minimum of daring, including an objective assessment of the causes which have led the country to the dire situation in which it finds itself. "Once again, it is time for the Algerian regime to get rid of the Moroccan complex", says Khairallah, noting that "the hostility towards Morocco will not help it at all".
