Algerian National Arrested Eastern Morocco for Possession & Distribution of Counterfeit Euro Notes
Rabat - Moroccan authorities in the Eastern city of Oujda on Saturday arrested an Algerian national for possession and distribution of counterfeit euro notes.
The Algerian national was arrested in a currency exchange office where he attempted to exchange counterfeit 100-euro notes, the Directorate General of National Security said.
Police agents searched his car and seized 10 counterfeit 100-euro notes, the same source added.
The respondent, who arrived in Morocco on August 28 from Barcelona, is the son of an Algerian parliamentary from the National Liberation Front (FLN), the ruling party, who is also leader of the Olympic Chlef football club, according to the same source.
