Algeria siege: 37 foreigners died, Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal says
Algeria's Prime Minister has said in a press conference today that 37 foreigners from eight nationalities were killed along with 11 Algerian workers during the siege at the In Amenas gas plant near the Libyan border. The Prime Minister confirmed the deaths of 29 terrorists including their leader Algerian Mohamed el-Amine Benchenab . there were 11 Tunisians amongst the terrorists the Prime said in his statement.Five Foreigners are also still missing after the attack.Tthe army freed 685 Algerian workers and 107 foreigners, the interior ministry said on Sunday.

The British newspaper The Independent notes that as well asforeign jihadis amongst the group which took the In Amenas plant, residents of Diabali, which was retaken by Malian and French forces , said they saw English speakers and europeans amongst the Islamist forces.
