Algeria To Re-Open Border With Libya After Crisis Over

Algiers - Algeria said Wednesday it will re-open its border with Libya and embassy there as soon as the security crisis in the neighbouring country is over, Xinhua news agency reported.

"Closing the border with Libya is a temporary decision due to the worsening security situation there," Foreign Ministry spokesman Abdelaziz Benali said.

Algeria temporarily closed its border with Libya on Monday.

Its embassy and consulate general in Libya were closed last week amid worsening security.
