Algeria: Drivers waste 10 million hours in traffic jams
The Algerian National Gendarmerie has registered some 843 black spots at 85% of the Algerian network of roads. These are located primarily in major cities like the capital, Algiers, which alone has 123  black spots. The increase in the number of vehicles currently to 6,367,876, is one of the main causes of thesetraffic jams; Echorouk reported.

A Division of National Security has recorded 400 black spots. These are causing congestion, resulting in delays for drivers (for work or school especially). Some drivers have been victims of heart attacks or hypertensive crisises while they were driving.

It should be noted, moreover, that the various projects in cities (sanitation, roadworks ...) are also responsible for congestion. The problem of traffic costs  Algeria 72 million  dollars each year.
