At the crossroads of fantasy, thriller and romance, Marwan Hamed excelled in this original work by his treatment of such psychological drama genre, where the public was able to rediscover with pleasure the talent of the young Egyptian actor Karim Abdel Aziz, with a new look and a completely different role, far from his usual comedy roles thanks to which he has become famous.

The actor plays here the role of "Yehia" who comes out of a five-year voluntary isolation to resume service in the psychiatric hospital Al Abasya, where he is responsible for assessing the mental health status of criminals.

His reunion with an old friend led him to recall bitter memories he had tried very hard to forget. While he tries to unravel the many mysteries surrounding his friend, Yehia comes to step into his own shadows and delve into the depths of his being, or what seems to be the remaining of it.

Besides Karim Abdel Aziz, the film director is featuring other stars of the Egyptian cinema, including Khaled el-Sawy, very convincing in the role of the schizophrenic friend, Sherif Al Kordy / Na'el, central character in the film who is accused of killing his wife, Nelly Kareem (Lobna) and Lebleba (Dr. Safaa).

Born in Cairo, Marwan Hamed graduated from the Higher Institute of Cinema in 1999 before working as an assistant director with many filmmakers. He directed two short films and several documentaries, and became known to the public with his medium-length film Lilly film. His first big hit, "The Yacoubian Building" was selected in numerous festivals including Berlin and Tribeca, where he won the Best Young Director Award in 2006. After "Ibrahim Labyad", he participated in the collective film 18 Days which was presented to the Cannes Film Festival.
