Activity by Amnesty International-Morocco banned in Bouznika

Rabat - An activity by Amnesty International (AI-Morocco), scheduled Monday in Bounika (Benslimane province), was banned by the province's authorities given that the association did not provide any authorization by the competent authorities as the law stipulates.

The activity was banned in conformity with article 3 of Dahir n 1-58-377 dated Nov. 15, 1958 (Jumada I 3, 1378) on public gatherings, said the province's services.

The same source added that AI officials did not inform the authorities neither about their intention to hold such activity, nor about the theme and the nature of the event, or the nationalities of the participants.
