A lot of hope pinned on Second Moroccan-US Business Development Conference, Bouaida

Rabat - Minister-delegate for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Mbarka Bouaida, said that a lot of hope in pinned on the Moroccan-US Business Development Conference, which "will provide an opportunity for Moroccan and US business leaders to assess the Free Trade Agreement signed between Morocco and the United States."

"Moroccan and American business leaders are aware of the prospects of development of bilateral economic relations (..) a lot of hope is pinned to the second conference and I hope that the result will be positive and live up to those expectations," said Bouaida in an interview published Monday by French-speaking daily "Le Matin du Sahara and the Maghreb" on the occasion of the second Moroccan-American Business Development Conference, held Monday and Tuesday in Rabat. The first conference, held in Washington in 2012, culminated in the signing of several bilateral agreements and partnerships.

The Moroccan official noted that the Moroccan business community is actively "involved" in the organization of this edition in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, and have expressed hope that the meeting, held on the sidelines of the Moroccan-US strategic dialogue, will achieve the desired results."

The U.S. Morocco Business Development Conference aims to educate the Moroccan and U.S. business communities about opportunities of doing business together. It offers an appropriate venue for B2B and for networking with Moroccan business stakeholders (ministries, public agencies, professional associations) in the sectors of transportation, logistics, customs, investment promotion, banking/insurance, and energy.

This second conference focuses on several U.S. states, including Texas, Kentucky, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan and Delaware.
