318 Moroccans Repatriated from Spain Arrive at Oujda Airport

Oujda-Angad airport - The repatriation operation of Moroccans stranded abroad due to the pandemic of the novel coronavirus continued on Monday with the arrival at Oujda-Angad airport of some 318 people, including children and babies.

Three Royal Air Maroc (RAM) planes from Barcelona landed Monday afternoon at Oujda-Angad airport with 106, 104 and 108 Moroccan citizens on board.

On arrival, these persons, wearing their protective masks, carried out customs formalities and retrieved their luggage in a smooth and orderly manner in compliance with precautionary measures, under the supervision of the services concerned.

They then boarded previously disinfected buses bound for a hotel in the city of Saïdia, where they will be tested for the new coronavirus (Covid-19) and confined in accordance with current health procedures.

The three flights are part of the repatriation operation of Moroccans stranded abroad launched more than two weeks ago, director of Oujda-Angad airport, Mohcine Benhaddouche, told MAP, noting that this operation is taking place in very good conditions and in compliance with health standards and recommendations of the International Civil Aviation Organization.

He assured in this regard that all the necessary health measures had been taken for the smooth running of this operation, with the assistance of all the services operating within the airport, under the supervision of the ministry of Health.
