313 Moroccans Repatriated from Turkey Arrive at Tetouan Airport
Tetouan airport - A total of 313 people, including babies and children, arrived on Tuesday at Tetouan Saniat R'mel airport on board three planes from Istanbul, as part of the repatriation of Moroccans stranded abroad due to the pandemic of the new coronavirus. The three planes landed on Tuesday evening at Tetouan airport with 102, 104 and 107 Moroccan citizens on board, respectively, who were stranded in different cities in Turkey. The beneficiaries of the operation were chosen on the basis of humanitarian criteria.
The operation was carried out in full compliance with the precautionary measures and the health protocol in force under the supervision of the competent authorities. On their arrival, these people, wearing their face masks, were able to carry out customs formalities and recover their luggage in a smooth and orderly manner, while complying with the instructions for social distancing and barrier gestures, with the use of vending machines for hydroalcoholic gels. They then boarded buses to hotels located on the Tamuda Bay coast under the prefecture of M'diq-Fnideq, where they will undergo screening tests for the new coronavirus (Covid-19) and will be quarantined according to the health procedures in force and in the best conditions.

The National Airports Office has put in place a plan to resume airport activities under the best conditions so as to protect passengers and restore everyone's confidence, he added, mentioning the establishment disinfection tools, physical separation and Plexiglas plates in check-in counters, information counters and boarding rooms, in order to guarantee social distancing measures. Airport staff have benefited from training sessions in the management of these types of operations, while human resources have been reinforced to reduce health risks, speed up customs and administrative formalities, and ensure compliance with measures of social distancing. Thermal imaging cameras were also used to measure passengers' temperature.
