2015 Communal Elections: PAM Leads with 5,064 Seats
Rabat - After counting 80 pc of the ballots in the communal elections, the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) is leading with 5,064 seats (20.77 pc of the ballots), Interior Minister Mohamed Hassad announced.

According to these preliminary results, the Justice and Development Party (PJD) is second with 4,187 seats (17.17 pc of the ballots), followed by the Istiqlal Party (PI) with 3,924 seats (16.09 pc), the National Rally of Independents (RNI) with 3,343 seats (13.71 pc), the People's Movement (2,347 seats - 9.62 pc), USFP (2,008 seats - 8.23 pc), the Progress and Socialism Party (PPS) with 1,312 seats (5.38 pc) and the Constitutional Union with 1,124 seats (4.61 pc).

The voter turnout in Morocco's communal and regional elections stood at 52.36 pc, according to the Interior Minister.

It is almost identical to the turnout figures at the 2009 communal elections, when the voter turnover reached 52.4 pc, the minister pointed out.
